Tour de Namur stage 1!

A hungry Lars at the starting line, after successful exams followed by a well balanced training load at home and at camp the first A-race of summer showed up today!

First breakaway of the day -> Lars in it.

Decisive 11man breakaway of the day -> Lars in it.

With 45K to go this breakaway got a max. advantage of 52″ on the first part of the peloton. But with some of the best riders in this breakaway they stood tall and finally could outsprint the fast coming peloton with a 9″ advantage! 

Victory was for T. Vandenbosch (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Lars took a very nice 6th place and once again showed to be among the best in these hilly Arden races. 

As an extra he also takes the leading jersey of best youngster U23 today!
